The pay packets of this year’s stars on The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition have been revealed.
Channel 10 had ‘just over $1million’ to split between the 11 competing pairs on the show, according to Yahoo Lifestyle.
Leading the pack is Olympian Ian Thorpe, who is believed to have been paid the most with a generous salary of $350,000.
Not far behind is comedian and former Project host Peter Helliar, who is rumoured to be earning a ‘few hundred [thousand]’.
The list continues with Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Matildas teammates Chloe Logarzo and Emily Gielnik, former AFL star Billy Brownless, and martial artist Tai ‘Bam Bam’ Tuivasa earning between $50,000 and $75,000.
Model Jett Kenny, comedian Luke McGregor, DJ Havana Brown, country signers Brooke McClymont and Adam Eckersley, and reality TV couple Cyrell Paule and Eden Dally are said to be taking home $50,000 each.
It’s believed Cyrell and Eden were able to negotiate a higher salary as they were asked to appear on the show just weeks before filming after NRL legend Matty Johns and his son Cooper pulled out.
The stars are going up against one another for a grand prize of $100,000 to go to the winner’s chosen charity.

Meanwhile, host Beau Ryan previously revealed he was paid $800,000 to participate in the Channel 10 program.
‘When you are getting paid for something, you look at the hours… How long are we working here?,’ he explained on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O radio show in 2021.
Radio host Kyle Sandilands then asked: ‘Is that what you do? Do you look at that with the Amazing Race and consider how long [you’re away for]?’
‘Yeah… [I was away] for two and half to three months and I got paid $800,000,’ Beau revealed.

It comes after Jett Kenny revealed that his late sister Jaimi was with him when he and girlfriend Lily Brown filmed the new season of The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition.
The 30-year-old and his love had taken a portion of Jaimi’s ashes with them, to scatter in exotic locations around the world.
It’s a tribute that Jett’s mum, Lisa Curry, began after Jaimi died in 2020, having herself already left some of the ashes at the top of Mount Kosciuszko and other locations.
‘Jaimi was with us the whole time,’ Jett explained to The Daily Telegraph.
Not far behind is comedian and former Project host Peter Helliar , who is rumoured to be earning a ‘few hundred [thousand]’
‘It was Mum’s idea which was pretty cool because whenever she goes travelling she takes some of Jaimi’s ashes and spreads them around the world’ he continued.
‘Having her in our backpacks meant she went to a few more places she’s never been before.’
Lily chimed in: ‘It was like she was our guardian angel’.
Jett’s world was shattered in September 2020, when Jaimi died at the age of 33 after battling alcoholism and an eating disorder.
