Katie Holmes exuded glamour in an ultra chic black dress as she got into the New York Fashion Week spirit.
On Tuesday, the actress, 45, attended the launch party for Hourglass Cosmetics and Barneys New York limited time concept store in Manhattan.
She stunned in an exquisite black sleeveless dress that displayed her toned arms and cinched into her toned waist.
The Dawson’s Creek alum – whose daughter Suri Cruise is now off at college – opted for a sleek hairstyle which saw her tresses styled into glossy waves that cascaded down her chest.
She finished it off with a chic center part.

The dress featured a gently pleated maxi skirt that dropped down to her calves.
Her feet were slipped into a pair of glossy black sling back flats and she further accessorized the look with a nose ring.
The party Katie was attending was hosted by Carisa Janes, the founder and president of Hourglass, the CFDA, Julie Gilhart, the president of Gilhart & Co, as well as fashion commentator Simon Doonan.
According to a press release, the bash saw attendees enter a ‘mystical, reimagined space’ that was flooded with ‘sensorial experiences’. Life size Hourglass brush heads were placed at the center of the space.
Guests enjoyed blindfolded tastings as they made their way through the space.
The musical entertainment was provided by DJs Angel & Dren while subway showtime crew Showtime also put on a bespoke dance show.
This year’s NYFW runs from September 6 to 11.
Meanwhile, Katie is currently rehearsing at at the Barrymore Theatre for the new production of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town.
Katie made her Broadway debut in 2008 for a production of All My Sons, and last appeared on Broadway in 2012’s Dead Accounts.

Ephraim Sykes will star as George Gibbs and Billy Eugene Jones will play his father Dr. Gibbs in the contemporary update to the play first performed in 1938.
