Angie Kent has revealed how she has discovered her true self after being in her first ‘queer’ relationship.
The Gogglebox Australia star tells this week’s issue of Stellar Magazine that she hasn’t been in a relationship with a man in three years.
‘I always blamed myself. I thought I needed more therapy or that I wasn’t dateable. I’m a person who falls in love with the soul, not the way someone looks or identifies’ the 34-year-old said.
‘Then I got into my first queer relationship and I was like “Okay, this is what I’ve been missing”‘ she continued.
‘It doesn’t really frighten me being alone. I don’t think it’s my goal in life to find my person’.
Angie also said that she has embraced her fluid sexuality since appearing on The Bachelorette.
‘Feeling like I had to be a Barbie doll [on that show] didn’t sit well with me’ she said.

‘I look back and think, who was that tiny little human who tried to be perfect… when you’re not perfect?’ she added.
‘But I did show a side I love, which is that women can be a bit grubby and funny and stick up for themselves and still be somebody who is dateable.
Angie previously revealed that she is pansexual.
Speaking to The Herald Sun, the TV star she had previously only dated men because it was societally expected of her.
‘I have always been pansexual but I guess I have never really spoken about it,’ she told Confidential.

‘It is a society thing. I never really got to explore it and now I am like, “go girl, get amongst it”.’
Pansexuality refers to an attraction towards people regardless of their sex or gender identity.
‘I don’t care what you are, as long as we connect. Gender is not a massive thing for me and never really has been,’ Angie said.
‘I have always dated dudes because it was expected of me,’ she admitted.
Angie ended up choosing personal trainer and actor Carlin Sterritt as her winning suitor on The Bachelorette in 2019.
They briefly lived together in Sydney, but split after a couple of months.
In 2022, shared on her Two Girls One Pod podcast that she went on a one date with a cameraman.
‘Yeah he’s lovely, I’m a big believer in not sh**ting where you eat. He is one of the cameramen on a show I’m on at the moment,’ she confessed.
