However Steven later hit claiming her story was ‘full of contradictions’ despite him admitting he’d ‘let the team down’ after only visiting her twice.
Now, in an interview with The Mirror, Sabrina later revealed how the horrific break up left her on medication for depression and anxiety.
She told the publication: ‘I had to process what I’d lost and that this was going to be on TV and you’re going through a marriage breakdown with the world watching. And that was really difficult.
‘I ended up with diagnosed depression, I was put on anxiety medication for the first time in my life.’
The TV star also revealed she was struggling with insomnia and ‘isolated herself’ due to feeling embarrassed.
She opened up about being in therapy and how she was full of ‘anticipatory grief’ for the life she expected to have with Steven.
During the highly-anticipated reunion episode, Steven furiously snapped: ‘A lot of things you are saying are not facts.I don’t recognise you.’
However, in earlier episodes, when the couple first met in the pods, they connected right away – talking about their hopes and aspirations for the future and sharing their memories of Sabrina’s late grandmother and Steven’s grandfather, who has also passed away.

Speaking on their wedding day, Steven said: ‘There’s so much I love about Sabrina, everything just fits and feels right. I know I’ve only known her for a few weeks but I do know that I love her wholeheartedly’
But they conflicted about whether to have children, with Sabrina less keen to start a family while Steven wanted to become a father.
Sabrina said: ‘I don’t feel the urge that I need to have kids or else I’m not going to feel happy in myself and in my life.’
They were also unsure about where to live together, with Sabrina’s heart set on Belfast while Steven preferred to remain in London.
Sabrina explained: ‘When it comes to where Steven and I will live all cards are on the table. Steven loves Belfast and he’s very open to moving there, we just need to figure out as a couple and individually where we thrive.’
Steven added: ‘I think we will probably end up living in London for the first couple of years.’
Participants on Love Is Blind who make it to their wedding days, the final stage of the dating experiment, have the option to say ‘yes’ at the altar or pass up the chance to marry their partner.

The couple hoped they could work past their differences, professing their love to each other on camera.

Sabrina added: ‘Marriage is a big deal. No one gets married thinking that they’re going to get divorced. The reality is this is real life and this is forever.’
