Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo face off in a dramatic showdown in Wicked: For Good’s final trailer which was released on Wednesday.
The sequel sees the return of Cynthia, 38, as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, and Ariana, 32, as Glinda, the Good Witch of the North.
Ahead of its release on November 21, the final trailer shows the consequences of the first instalment as Elphaba lives in exile.
There, she is continuing her fight for freedom while the silenced animals of Oz are desperate to expose truth of The Wizard, who is played by Jeff Goldblum.
In a defiant message, the witch can be seen spelling out in the clouds floating above Oz: ‘Our Wizard lies.’
Meanwhile, Glinda has become the symbol of goodness in Oz, living in a breathtaking palace in the Emerald City.

Posters erected around Oz warn of her, with one showing her claws out as it read: ‘Beware of the Wicked Witch’.
Glinda and Elphaba also share a tense shutdown as Grande’s character attempts to fight back as the witch tells her she has ‘no real power’.
However, by the end of the trailer, a glimmer of their friendship can be seen, with Glinda tearfully telling her: ‘Think of what we could do together’.
Fans are also treated to a first look of Dorothy’s arrival in Oz, alongside the Cowardly Lion, Tin Man and the Scarecrow.
The Wizard tasks them with bringing back Elphaba’s broom to prove that she has been killed.

Fans have reacted with excitement to the scenes, as one commented: ‘This vibe feels so different than the first one. This feels so evolved & I’m so excited!’
A second wrote: ‘I cannot wait to see the performance of For good on the big screen. It is going to be the most iconic moment of the movie as in the first one it was Defying gravity.’
‘Why cant this come sooner. Im dying for this. I wish it was November,’ said a third eager fan.

The first movie was a box office success and raked in around $747.2 million on a budget of $150 million.
Wicked also received critical praise and was nominated for 10 Academy Awards and won two in March this year during the glitzy ceremony.
During the night, Ariana performed a stunning rendition of Judy Garland’s Somewhere Over The Rainbow from the classic 1939 film before handing the mic to Cynthia.
The talented duo then launched into Wicked’s Defying Gravity as both stars came together holding hands.
Wicked: For Good is being directed again by award-winning Jon M. Chu, who previously teased what fans can expect.

He said: ‘If Part 1 is about choices, Part 2 is about consequences.
‘Choices are difficult to make, but when you do make those choices, sometimes the result isn’t what you expect it to be. It can be lonely, it can be hard.’
Jon continued: ‘There’s a lot of soul searching in movie 2. They’re asking, “Is this the right decision that you made?”‘
He added: ‘There is lots of lightness in the movie. There’s a lot of fun parts.
‘We’ve not forgotten about that, but there’s a matureness and a nuance to it that we earn from the first movie. The second movie really gets to play with [that maturity].’
