Alexandra Grant Responds to Marriage Rumors After Keanu Reeves’ Denial

Keanu Reeves’ longtime love Alexandra Grant issued a response to recent rumors that the pair got married.

The 52-year-old artist addressed the speculation via Instagram on Wednesday, a day after the John Wick actor, 61, denied the marriage claim.

Grant thanked ‘everyone for their congratulations’ but dismissed reports that they got married, as she shared a romantic photo of the couple kissing.

‘This is a real photo. Not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement… simply a kiss! (Albeit maybe the moment right before or after it… given the slightly goofy expressions on our faces!)’ she wrote in her caption. 

‘We’re at Roden Crater, and Keanu and Gard had just finished interviewing James Turrell for Visionaries,’ Grant added.

She then cleared up the recent rumors, writing: ‘I’m sharing it here to say thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our wedding. Except we didn’t get married.’

‘Good news is much needed these days, but it’s still fake news, so be careful out there! So, here’s a bit of real happiness!’

The two looked loved-up as ever in the snap, sitting on a dramatic staircase as they kissed.

Alexandra wore a baby blue sweater, blue jeans and dark boots, while Keanu sported a button-up with dark jeans.

Keanu denied speculation he wed Alexandra in a statement through his publicist. His representative told E! News on Monday: ‘It is not true. They are not married.’

Reeves first went public with Grant in 2019, and six years later they seem in love as ever.

On September 3 his girlfriend marked his birthday on Instagram by sharing a heart-shaped cake with his name on it.

‘To Keanu — who saw this post as a draft! — I am so grateful for your love and partnership,’ she wrote.

Earlier this year fans noticed that Alexandra was wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger, fueling chatter that she and her beau had tied the knot.

The twosome met at a dinner party in 2009 and became business partners, collaborating on two art books together.

Their bond blossomed into a romantic relationship years later.

At the Sonic The Hedgehog 3 premiere last December, the Matrix actor was asked if the red carpet event was a ‘date night.’

‘I guess it is! Yeah, we got dolled up and it’s been very exciting… it’s just really special to be side by side,’ he told Entertainment Tonight at the time.

In 2023 Keanu gave rare insight into their connection when asked to name his ‘last moment of bliss’ by People.

He candidly answered, ‘A couple of days ago with my honey. We were in bed. We were connected.’

And the longtime actor gushed, ‘We were smiling and laughing and giggling. Feeling great. It was just really nice to be together.’

He also made a rare comment about being with each other amid the onset of the pandemic in 2020.

That August he told Parade: ‘It’s been really wonderful to be with Alexandra. We enjoy each other’s company, whatever that may be. Once the beaches opened up, we went for a motorcycle ride, and we have a couple of projects.’

Meanwhile, Alexandra praised her partner in a September 2023 interview with People.

‘He’s such an inspiration to me. He’s so creative, he’s so kind. He works so hard,’ she said.

She shared her perspective about dating later in life: ‘The good news about falling in love as an adult is that I had built my own career by the time that my relationship had begun.

‘I feel very confident in the relationship on the red carpet. I feel confident on it alone.’
