Rebecca Judd’s life changed forever when she attended the 2004 Brownlow Medal count 21 years ago.
The AFL WAG, 42, who was then known as Rebecca Twigley, made headlines for the revealing red dress she wore to the glittering event with now husband Chris Judd.
One person that was particularly enamoured with Rebecca’s racy red carpet attire was The Footy Show commentator Sam Newman.
Rebecca took to her Instagram story this week to share a throwback clip that showed her being interviewed by the controversial star.
The footage began with Rebecca striding confidently across the foyer of the Crown Palladium – the venue for that year’s awards.
Spying the brunette beauty, Sam, with microphone in hand, quickly made a beeline for the WAG.

‘Excuse me please,’ he said.
‘We have had every person that’s come out here… I said, “you’re looking good,” and they’ve all said, “you want to see Chris Judd’s girlfriend.”‘
As he spoke, Sam apparently could not help his eyes wandering over Rebecca’s enviably svelte form.
Taking a few steps closer to the future WAG, Sam continued to gush, utterly captivated by Rebecca’s striking dress
‘You look absolutely sensational,’ he swooned.
‘Everyone – man, woman and beast have said that you look the best.’
Slightly taken aback by Sam’s commentary, Rebecca replied with, ‘great,’ in a decidedly Antipodean drawl.
The short chat continued with Sam asking Rebecca if she was a ‘fitness fanatic’ before asking her what she did for a living.
‘No, I’m not a fitness fanatic,’ she replied.

‘I’m a model, but I go to Uni, well, deferring Uni… I’ve changed my degree. I’m going to be studying speech pathology.’
Sam, with his eyes still planted firmly on Rebecca’s dress, replied: ‘speech pathology.’
Captioning the throwback clip, Rebecca admitted that there was one portion of the chat that had lived long in the Judd household.
‘My kids take the p*** out of me often saying “GREAAAAAAAT”,’ she quipped.
Rebecca’s iconic Brownlow dress was recently immortalised with its own Wikipedia entry.
Worth an eye-watering $2,000, the outfit, designed by Ruth Tarvydas, helped catapult Bec into her current status as the Queen of WAGs.
The Wikipedia entry includes many details about Bec’s fashion coup, including a notorious quote from the then AFL CEO, Andrew Demetriou.
The footy boss described the dark-haired beauty’s appearance at the Brownlow as ‘one of the 20 highlights of the 2004 AFL season’.

Rebecca took to Instagram last month to share a screenshot of the Wikipedia entry.
The post included a comment from Sarah Davidson, who recently hosted the AFL WAG on her Seize The Yay podcast to discuss her sensational red carpet moment.
‘Lol! It [Bec’s gown] has its own Wiki page,’ the podcaster said.
She continued: ‘A truly iconic moment in Australian fashion, which I loved hearing about from the inside.
‘I’ve always said Bec is one of the loveliest, most down to earth people I’ve met in the industry when you might not expect it and that shines through so much in our chat.’
