Jack looked fabulous at the premiere of his science-fiction action comedy film which will hit UK cinemas on Thursday.

Jack stars as the voice of Claptrap in the film that is based on the video game series of the same name.

Also starring in Borderlands is two-time Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett, whom Jack happily cosied up to at the premiere.

Cate, 55, wrapped an arm around Jack’s shoulder and wore a white halter neck top covered in metal spoons.

Jack and Cate were joined by more key members of the Borderlands cast: Kevin Hart and comedian Bobby Lee.

Jack and Cate then posed with co-star Jamie Lee Curtis who stunned in a red suit and is currently filming Freaky Friday 2 in which she and Lindsay Lohan will reprise their roles.

All previously mentioned cast then posed with co-stars Florian Munteanu, Edgar Ramirez, and Gina Gershon, and the film’s director Eli Roth.

The fan event comes after Jack reassured fans Tenacious D will ‘be back’ despite their cancelled concert.

The School of Rock star previously put ‘all future creative plans’ for the band on hold in July after being ‘blindsided’ by Kyle’s remarks on stage in Sydney with reference to the 45th president, 78, being shot in the ear at his Pennsylvania rally.

But, Jack recently told Entertainment Tonight: ‘I love Tenacious D… We had to take a break, but I love the D. Everybody takes a break sometimes. We’ll be back.’

Kyle’s joke occurred when Jack sang happy birthday to Kyle, turning 64, asked him to make a birthday wish, with Kyle replying: ‘Don’t miss Trump next time.’

Kyle has since posted and deleted an apology for this remark.

After the concert, Jack said in a statement: ‘I was blindsided by what was said at the show on Sunday.

‘I would never condone hate speech or encourage political violence in any form. After much reflection, I no longer feel it is appropriate to continue the Tenacious D tour, and all future creative plans are on hold.

‘I am grateful to the fans for their support and understanding.’

Kyle also initially apologised, saying: ‘The line I improvised onstage Sunday night in Sydney was highly inappropriate, dangerous and a terrible mistake.

‘I don’t condone violence of any kind, in any form, against anyone. What happened was a tragedy, and I’m incredibly sorry for my severe lack of judgement. I profoundly apologize to those I’ve let down and truly regret any pain I’ve caused.’

When a Tenacious D concert overlapped with Kyle's 64th birthday, he was asked to make a birthday wish. He replied: 'Don't miss Trump next time'
