‘I think that overall, it’s nice to have a level of respect with the peers that you work with in your industry; it keeps you motivated and excited.’
Olivia shot to fame when she appeared in MTV’s The Hills spin-off, The City, which documented Whitney Port’s move to New York to work for Diane von Furstenberg in 2008.
The socialite appeared in both seasons of the reality show, as Whitney’s workplace friend and later rival.
Since featuring on the series, she has become one of the most established front-row regulars on the fashion circuit, attending the world’s most prestigious events.
Olivia discussed her time on The City, slamming the reality show as ‘fully phony’ and claiming she was portrayed as the ‘polar opposite’ of her true personality.
Speaking in an interview with The New York Times in 2020, she said: ‘Whoever sat in that editing room was very talented at creating a human that I was the polar opposite of.
‘It was fully phony. There was nothing real about that show at all. Other than our first and last names. Nothing. Absolutely zero.’
