A wild rumour is circulating about Snoop Dogg and the one request he has made before his AFL Grand Final performance on Saturday.
The US rapper has been receiving heat online after making controversial comments about same-sex relationships, shrouding his upcoming half-time show with controversy and questions on whether he should still be allowed to perform.
Now, it is said that the 53-year-old has made a massive demand of the event’s organisers – and it’s going to cost a bomb.
‘There has been a slight budgetary issue with Snoop Dogg’s Grand Final appearance on Saturday,’ Ross Stevenson said on 3AW’s Rumour File.
‘Because he has demanded that a replica of the stage for Saturday be built at Marvel Stadium so he can rehearse before Thursday’s rehearsal at the MCG.
‘Which means that the Dogg will be rehearsing at Marvel either today or tomorrow.’

He went on: ‘I’m quite impressed by the fact that he wants to get it right … but it wasn’t in the budget.’
Now, photos have been released showing a stage being built at Marvel Stadium, along with rehearsals seemingly taking place at the venue.
The Drop It Like It’s Hot hitmaker will headline the Grand Final entertainment at the 100,000-capacity MCG, as Brisbane look to defend their crown against Geelong on Saturday afternoon.
According to Fox Sports, the AFL is set to hand Snoop Dogg $5million to follow the likes of Katy Perry and Robbie Williams as the next global artist to play at the showpiece event.
The AFL’s decision to hire Snoop Dogg for the Grand Final has received backlash and concerns are mounting that he may be booed when he steps on stage, given his recent comments about same-sex couples and lyrics in his songs.
The league copped further criticism for Snoop Dogg’s appointment after the AFL handed Adelaide forward Izak Rankine a four-match ban for a homophobic slur which was made during Adelaide’s game against Collingwood in August.
Some claimed that the AFL had been hypocritical for hiring Snoop Dogg, despite its zero-tolerance approach to homophobia.

It came just a day after Nick had agonisingly missed out on claiming this year’s Brownlow Medal, after the Collingwood midfielder, who had been the outright favourite to win the best and fairest award prior to the evening, was usurped by Gold Coast’s Matt Rowell.
The footy stars were seen showing Snoop Dogg how to kick the Sherrin before teeing him up to have a shot at goal.
In a video posted on the AFL’s Facebook page, the rapper – who has allegedly never played AFL football before – is seen lining up a shot at goal, from around 35m out, before sending the ball straight through the middle sticks.
The Daicos brothers were left enamoured by Snoop’s kicking skills, with the rapper celebrating the kick by saying: ‘That’s six points baby!’
