The bizarre fake name Harry Styles uses while undercover has been revealed after he ran the Berlin Marathon over the weekend under a disguise.

The singer, 31, joined 50,000 runners for the 26.2 mile race using the pseudonym Sted Sarandos.

Harry’s alias bears a striking similarity to the name of the current co-chief executive officer of Netflix, Ted Sarandos.

Fans of former One Direction star think they have figured out why he chose the moniker because Sted is a play on Harry’s last and middle name, Edward.

He went incognito as he ran the Berlin Marathon on Sunday in a bid to keep a low profile.

Harry impressed onlookers as he ran the impressive distance in under three hours, gaining a personal best.

He crossed the finish line after an impressive 2:59:13 hours, which is an average pace of 6:50 per mile.

The race winner Sabastian Sawe won with a world leading time of 2:02:16.

Harry has made a strong improvement on his time of 3:24:07 (7:47 per mile) from the Tokyo Marathon, which he completed in March.

The Grammy Award winner blended in with the crowds in Berlin wearing a pair of sunglasses and kept his brunette locks out of his face with a headband.

Back in 2023, Harry’s choice of name for his stay at Edinburgh’s five-star Caledonian had staff in fits of laughter.

The singer booked in under the name Oliver Sudden, which is believed to be a twist on the expression ‘all of a sudden’.

A source at the hotel said: ‘We all had a right giggle when we saw the name – it took a while to work out what it meant.

‘Harry is so famous though that he has to use a different name when checking in or it would be carnage for him with his fans who follow him wherever they know he is.’

He could have been using a red herring to confuse fans as Oliver Sudden is also the name of a South London-based rapper.

The As It Was singer was said to be using a secret back entrance to go in and out of the building, and he is being driven around the city in an S-Class Mercedes.

He was understood to have been staying in a £3,000-a night suite at the Caledonian for his two sell-out concerts at Murrayfield stadium as part of his Love On Tour.

Famously, One Direction were unable to leave their hotels through the main doors because thousands of their fans would wait outside.
