Kelly Clarkson stopped her show in Las Vegas on Saturday night when one of her band members presented her with a musical surprise.
The Grammy winner, 43, who will be returning to The Voice for Battle of the Champions, was introducing a song for the Kellyoke portion of the performance telling the crowd ‘this is one of my favorite songs to cover.’
‘Look nothing is better than the original, I’m going to own that right now, but I’m going to do my best to just, like, have fun with it, so this is Radiohead’s Creep,’ she said.
Referring to the feathers on the sleeves of her jumpsuit, she told the crowd at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, ‘I’m shedding, did you see it,’ as the band played the intro to the song.
She the stopped speaking and looked shock as soulful strings entered into the harmonies.
‘Oh my god, I missed this part in rehearsal,’ she said as the camera panned over to the celloist.

‘That was so beautiful. I can’t even… Ismail.. what the f***?’ she said as the audience and band laughed. ‘We did this in soundcheck and you did not do that,’ she said as the smiling musician continued to play.
‘Can we do it again? I wasn’t ready,’ the chart topper said. ‘Do it again, I want to watch!’ she asked, walking over to the band.
‘Beautiful!’ she exclaimed as the intro began again with the cello heard clearly over the other instruments.
She then began singing the song, which allowed her to display her wide vocal range for the adoring crowd.
After the song concluded, Clarkson walked over to Ismael Ariel Guerrero Bombut and gave him a big hug.
Introducing the video on Instagram, the ACM award winner explained, ‘I love to perform this song so much!! Also, @ismacello, that was so incredibly beautiful!’ adding the hashtags #Kellyoke, #StudioSession and #KellyInVegas.
Bombut responded with, ‘I have no words. It’s been such a blessing to have the opportunity to share the stage with you. Forever grateful @kellyclarkson.’
The bi-lingual musician shared the performance from a different angle on his own Instagram page with captions in English and Spanish.
The camera panned over to see a smiling Ismael Ariel Guerrero Bombut playing the cello. Ismail.. what the f-ck?’ she said ‘Can we do it again? I wasn’t ready,’ the chart topper said. ‘Do it again, I want to watch!’

Clarkson and Bombut hugged after the special performance as the audience cheered loudly. ‘Really hoping there will be a recording of this released,’ one fan suggested on the singer’s Instagram account
Explaining the post he wrote, ‘Can’t believe this moment was captured on camera. My heart is so full, and I am forever grateful for the opportunity,’ tagging Clarkson in the message.
Writing over the clip Bombut shared ‘Kelly Clarkson stopped the show just to hear my solo again… I am still processing.’
‘Phenomenal job last night. Really hoping there will be a recording of this released,’ one fan suggested on Clarkson’s account.
‘She is right, so so beautiful,’ said another. ‘Incredible! You have a new follower!!! ♥️’ commented a new fan.
Fans also praised Clarkson for sharing the spotlight.
