Ryan Reynolds couldn’t help but gush over his longtime wife, Blake Lively, at the premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine in New York City on Monday.
While attending the screening of his highly-anticipated superhero film, based on the Marvel Comics character Deadpool, the actor, 47, raved about how the 36-year-old Gossip Girl alum has tirelessly supported him through the years.
‘She’s amazing. She is so smart, everything I do is in lockstep with her and now she just takes every step with me — sometimes the scary steps, sometimes the ones that are, more often than not, aimed right at danger,’ he told Entertainment Tonight.
The father-of-four continued: ‘I am super grateful to her. She’s just so smart and so funny and [she] like really, really helped in like every aspect of this movie.’
In addition to helping promote his latest project, the Vancouver native praised Lively for influencing and inspiring many of the jokes with her perspective as a millennial.

At the premiere, Lively turned heads in a stunning Atelier Versace catsuit with black embroidery all over it and bling from Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira Jewels.
Her look, which was inspired by her husband’s titular character in Deadpool, caused quite the buzz as she walked down the red carpet, alongside her supermodel pal Gigi Hadid.
While Lively paid homage to Deadpool, Hadid, 29, dressed in a chic yellow ensemble, from Miu Miu, inspired by Wolverine’s yellow X-Men uniform.
When asked how she felt supporting Reynolds at the event, Lively playfully joked that she felt he was ‘supporting her’ tonight.
‘I feel like he’s my plus one. That’s the energy I’m giving,’ she mused, nodding to the attention her outfit was inevitably going to receive. ‘He’s here supporting me, and I’m very grateful for his support tonight.’
Reynolds — who shares his four kids James, nine, Inez, seven, Betty, four, and 16-month-old Olin with Lively — revealed their youngest’s name at the event.
While taking the stage, Reynolds specifically thanked wife Blake, 36, and their four children – naming them all.

The fourth baby’s name has been a secret since they welcomed their child in February 2023.
Ryan revealed that their fourth child’s name is Olin.
The name Olin is of Nordic origin, and it means ancestor’s heir or to inherit.
It is typically a male name however Blake and Ryan have not yet revealed the gender of their fourth child.

‘I want to start by saying thank you to my wife Blake, who is here. I want to thank my kids James, Inez, Betty, Olin, who are here,’ Ryan said on the stage at the premiere on Monday night, according to Variety.
‘I hope that, if I’m lucky, this moment will be the most traumatic thing – that is, the contents of this movie – that happens in your wondrous lives,’ he said.
The stars never officially revealed she had given birth to their fourth child, and instead shared a snap of herself wearing fitted jeans and a top and no baby bump on February 12, 2023.
Blake hinted too in the caption that she had her baby by writing: ‘Puppy Bowl Sunday 2023. Been busy,’ she wrote.

The couple first met in 2010 on the set of their film Green Lantern.
They started dating the following year, in October 2011.
The lovebirds tied the knot on September 9, 2012 in South Carolina, welcoming their first child James in December 2014, their second child Inez in September 2016, Betty in October 2019 and Olin in February 2023.
