Nathan Cleary has shared some exciting news after sparking engagement rumours with his girlfriend Mary Fowler.
The NRL champion, 26, has marked a huge career milestone despite having been forced to sit out of the entire State Of Origin series after suffering a brutal injury.
The scrum half has secured a massive six-figure five-year deal to be the face of deodorant brand Rexona, an achievement Nathan still struggles to believe is real.
‘Sometimes I’ll see my head pop up on a TV commercial or billboard and I’m like, ”what the hell, that’s actually me”, it’s still so weird,’ he told the Daily Telegraph.
‘It was pretty crazy when [Rexona] first reached out, it’s been awesome.’
Nathan is the face of Rexona’s aptly-titled campaign Not Done Yet, which encapsulates the sportsman’s attitude to getting back on the field after his injury.
‘Not being on the field, I want to get back, because I’m not done yet and want to get back to my best,’ he shared.
In the May, the champion NSW halfback suffered a grade two hamstring injury, with his eight-week recovery sidelining him from the entire State of Origin series.

The Penrith Panthers star is due to make his return for their round 20 match against the Dolphins on July 21 as he refuses to let the grueling injury slow him down.
During his rehab, Nathan enjoyed a romantic getaway with his Matildas star girlfriend Mary, 21, as they managed to nab some quality time together away from the field.
They are heading into a busy period as Mary gears up for Australia’s run at a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, with her goal-scoring ability taking on added importance due to the absence of injured striker Sam Kerr.
The couple’s much-needed downtime came weeks after they sparked engagement rumours after sharing romantic snaps from a date night in Sydney.
Their excited fans were quick to question the loved-up pair on whether an engagement will soon be on the cards.
‘So when are you announcing the engagement?’ messaged one fan, while another added: ‘Drop a knee lad.’
Both athletes are very private when it comes to their relationship, with Nathan admitting the spotlight on his personal life is something he didn’t expect.
Last month, the NRL star, 26, and Matildas star Mary, 21, sparked engagement rumours among their fans and then jetted off on a romantic holiday together (pictured) just weeks later
‘Obviously it’s different from when I was young coming into first grade and people are dissecting my game. I hadn’t had that before,’ he said.
Mary and Nathan have been an item since late last year, with Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealing their romance at the time.
At the time, pictures showed Mary resting her head on the Penrith Panthers star’s chest in a Perth park as they cosied up to one another ahead of her Matildas match.
The couple then officially unveiled their romance in Perth in October and finally went Instagram official in January of this year.
