Steve Martin had to cancel two comedy shows with Martin Short after catching COVID-19.
The 80-year-old actor shared on Friday that his and Martin’s, 75, The Dukes Of Funnytown! tour stop at The Dome in Virginia Beach that night had to be cancelled.
He also had to cancel they Saturday night show at Richmond’s Allianz Amphitheater at the Riverfront.
The entertainer shared a pictured of a positive COVID test with a caption explaining why he had to cancel.
‘Dear Virginia Beach and Richmond. Sadly, I have some down with Covid. I can’t possibly do the show that you deserve,’ he wrote.
‘So Marty and I must cancel tonight & tomorrow. But we will return under better circumstances [sad face emoji].’

Later, he appeared to change the caption to simply read, ‘Hey! No flu!
Friends and fans expressed their well wishes for the star in the comments.
Rita Wilson wrote, ‘Feel better!’
One fan commented ‘Hope you have a light case and thanks for posting this to remind everyone Covid is still active as well as the flu.’
‘Sending prayers for a speedy recovery,’ another added.
‘So sorry – get well soon,’ someone else wrote.
The duo previously cancelled two shows back in February because Martin got COVID after attending the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary special.
At the time, Steve joked that it was because Martin kissed Maya Rudolph.
‘Maya had Covid. Marty has Covid. I wonder why? The SNL 50th Covid curse is real,’ Martin revealed on his post.

Martin and Short both delivered a memorable monologue for the special, with Martin hosting the show 16 times and Short starring during the 1984-1985 season.
The Sunday night primetime special averaged an impressive 14.8 million viewers across NBC and the Peacock streaming service.
The 14.8 million viewers and the 2.53 rating within the all-important 18-49 demographic was the highest for any NBC telecast in five years.
The special also had 8.7 million social interactions, the most social telecast in the past two years for NBC.
The two star together on the hit mystery-comedy series Only Murders In The Building, along with Selena Gomez.
It was reported last September that Only Murders In The Building had been renewed for a fifth season at Hulu.
The popular crime show, which stars Steve, Selena and Martin, will have 10 episodes, according to Variety.
This season, the leads move from New York City to Hollywood to work on a movie about how their podcast was created.

Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria and Zach Galifianakis will play the detective trio in the series.
Meanwhile, Meryl Streep will step into her old role, and the show will introduce new faces like Melissa McCarthy and Molly Shannon.
Also onboard are Richard Kind and Kumail Nanjiani.
There is a murder to solve as well, of course, as every season involves a murder the pals have to figure out.
