Channel 4 is set to try and rival Love Island its racy dating show Love Triangle is greenlit for a second series.

The broadcaster is on the lookout for the ‘sexiest singles ever’ as its most daring show makes a return.

Love Triangle – which was reportedly inspired by David Haye’s throuple – sees singles message two suitors before choosing one to double date.

The show, which aired in April and has been described as a mash up between Love Island and Married At First Sight, is said to have been such a success for Channel 4 that they believe a second series will be even bigger.

A source told The Sun on Wednesday: ‘Love Triangle was a big success for E4 and just the kind of show that fits their brand.

‘It’s from the makers of Married At First Sight and is like a cross between that and Love Island, so bosses really want to bring it back.

‘They have already started casting for a second series and are looking for the sexiest singles ever.’

MailOnline has approached The Sun for comment.

It was reported in April that Channel 4 axed Rylan-fronted Sex Rated to make way for a variety of new shows, including Love Triangle.

According to Channel 4, Love Triangle saw six singles (pickers) choose between just two handpicked partners (suitors).

The singles were given the chance to build a connection within two days via text only.

They then had to make a potentially life-changing choice between their two matches before they meet on a blind date.

Just 24-hours later, the person who is picking and their chosen match had to take the extraordinary step of moving in together to explore what their future may look like.

However, around the corner were a series of gripping plot-twists that neither the singles or suitors saw coming.

During the explosive new series, the six singles were forced to question themselves, their choices, and everything they think they know about love.

Rylan admitted that the aim of the Sex-Rated show was to shine line on positivity in the bedroom, before its axing was announced.

The watershed programme, which hit screens last year, asked contestants to speak about their sex-life before rating themselves out of 10.

Speaking about the X-rated programme at the time on Loose Women last year, Rylan joked that the show was either ‘the start or the end for him now’.

Rylan said: ‘I keep joking saying that it is the start of the end for me now.

‘Channel 4 wanted to do a show that was sex positive, which I think is very important, you know I’ve been a single man now for two years.

‘I believe you should be positive about things like sex, but wanting to have an entertainment spin to it but not horrible.

‘So, [using Colleen as an example] you’ll come on the show and I’ll ask you to rate yourself out of 10 for a number of different subjects to do with sex, and we’ll have a little chat and say “oh I rate myself an 8 for this, a 7 for this, a 10 for that.”

‘Then we get two of your exes out that have also rated you as well and then we compare those numbers and then I’m sure everyone, me included, have all got different things we can work on in the bedroom.

‘We then have ou
