Larry Emdur is in the running for a coveted Gold Logie next month and on Monday he revealed the hilarious way he recently ‘lost’ a vote from one his fans.
Theย Morning Show co-host, 59, is currently staying in the remote town of Marble Bar, WA, and shared a photo to Instagram which showed him standing outside a portaloo.
Larry looked downcast as he sweltered in region, which is considered Australia’s hottest town with temperatures averaging over 30 degrees in winter.
He explained he had an embarrassing encounter with a fan after he used theย portable toilet.ย ย
‘How to lose a Gold Logie vote in 30 seconds. After two days of fried food and whisky I stepped into the portaloo in the campsite of Australia’s hottest town,’ he explained in the caption.
‘As I stepped out a lovely lady holding her roll of toilet paper was ready to jump in, she said. “Oohhhh Larry, I’m voting for you for a gold Logie.”
‘I said “I’m pretty sure after you step into that portaloo you won’t be voting for me”,’ he joked.
Many of Larry’s celebrity friends were quick to express their amusement over theย post.
‘We need to get you one of our new beanies!ย That one’s from 1920!’ joked Carrie Bickmore and Big Brother star Reggie Bird added: ‘Bahahaha’.
