Jeff Brazier wished his son Freddy a happy 21st birthday on Thursday as he reflected on the ‘challenges and lessons’ they’ve overcome.
Freddy, who announced he was set to become a father with an ex-girlfriend last week, has suffered a turbulent year after a huge fall out with his nan Jackiey Budden, who he had lived with to seek solace from his father after they too had a bust up.
The family have made up in the wake of his baby news, with Jeff saying he will ‘always be walking along side’ Freddy.
In a post shared to Instagram, he uploaded a series of photos from over the years alongside a heartfelt caption.
Jeff wrote: ‘Happy 21st Birthday to our Freddy. What adventures we’ve had! Incredible memories made and challenges we’ve faced.
‘So many lessons and there can’t be much you haven’t taught me about being a Dad! We’re always going to be here with hearts full of love and chests full of pride.’

He added: ‘The destination will be so sweet for you and so deserved, there are lots of different paths and I’ll always be walking along side you on yours no matter how many times you ignore the sat-nav.
‘I have a feeling your 21st year will be a special one.’
Daily Mail revealed on Wednesday that Freddy and his nan have made up – and his decision was prompted by attending the first baby scan with his pregnant girlfriend Holly Swinburn.
Sources close to Freddy say that the pair have now been brought back together after Freddy saw his unborn child for the first time at a London hospital on Tuesday.
Afterwards, he whisked Jackiey off for an upmarket meal to bury the hatchet and celebrate his impending fatherhood.
One friend of the family said: ‘The baby news has changed everything and Freddy doesn’t want to be estranged from his Nana, they’ve always been so close. He wants her to be involved in the baby’s life.
‘On Tuesday he went for a scan and saw a little baby on the screen, it changed his outlook on things and all he wanted to do then was see Jackiey and treat her to a nice meal.
‘The last few months have been very tricky. First Jeff tried to stop them seeing each other and then for some reason Freddy turned on her publicly and blamed her for some of his issues over the years.’

They added: ‘They’ve lived together on and off for years, and she’s the first person he turns to when he needs to retreat a bit from everything else going on in his life.
‘It’s nice to see they’re rebuilding bridges.’
Freddy fled from his father Jeff’s home in Harlow, Essex, last year and moved into Jackiey’s flat in Bermondsey, South East London, where his mother Jade grew up. In fact, he slept in her childhood bedroom after Jackiey decorated it for him.
But Jeff then attempted to stop his youngest son from seeing his grandmother and even attempted to take legal action to block their relationship.
However, in August he gave up on that after he and Freddy were reunited.
And then, in a surprising online outburst last month, he accused Jackiey of helping him develop an addiction to strong cannabis, claiming she first introduced him to the drug when he was just 12 -prompting a furious response from Jackiey who fiercely denied the allegations.
We revealed last month that Freddy was to become a father. He was left shell-shocked to learn that his on-off girlfriend Holly was pregnant after she sent him photographs of a positive pregnancy test after they had split up.
It’s understood the former couple are now trying to put their differences aside as they prepare to become parents together.

Jackiey, 68, was left infuriated by her grandson’s damning recent allegations about her – insisting she had not introduced him to drugs while admitting they have smoked cannabis together in recent years.
She said: ‘I’ve read all these things he’s said about me and I just can’t believe he’d say them. It just isn’t true at all – I can’t believe it.
‘Freddy was smoking as a kid with his mates long before he and I ever smoked together back out in Essex near Jeff’s home – he got into some bad crowds but it had nothing to do with me.’
Speaking to the Daily Mail in the wake of his claims, she added: ‘All I’ve ever tried to do is look out for him and give him somewhere safe to be whenever he wants to – and this has really upset me that he would do this.’
Late reality star Jade’s family has endured a turbulent year, with a string of bitter disputes and controversies playing out in public 16 years after her tragic death from cancer in 2009.
