Storm Huntley has revealed her hopes of appearing on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing later this year.

The TV favourite, 37, who presents her own early morning show on Channel 5, said she would ‘love’ to follow in colleague Jeremy Vine’s footsteps after he competed in the BBC competition way back in 2015.

Telling The Sun: ‘I mean, who would pass up the chance to learn how to dance properly?’ before quipping she’d ask a Strictly pro before Jeremy for dancing advice.

Last year Storm was rumoured to be the front-runner to be Holly Willoughby’s This Morning replacement, with bookies putting her odds at 2/1 to get the job – before Cat Deeley landed the job.

However despite her fame she admitted that she lives a very normal life and never finds herself rubbing shoulders with A-listers at swanky parties or premieres.

Saying: ‘My routine is get up, do the show, go home, be a mum, go to bed, get up, do the same routine. I don’t really go to any showbizzy events’.

‘I’ve never been invited to these kind of events. I’ve never made a decision consciously or unconsciously about it’, before going on to joke she’d never turn down the opportunity to dress up for a glam outing.

Huntley and Kerr Okan confirmed their engagement in 2020 and married the following year on the banks of Lock Lomond, with fellow presenter Carol Smillie serving as the couple’s officiating registrar.

After falling pregnant with son Otis, now two, she launched the Mums In The Making podcast – a light-hearted look at pregnancy through each trimester – alongside writer and producer Rachel Fulton.

Addressing rumours of her potential This Morning appointment last year, Storm said on Instagram: ‘Very flattering but I think there may be a scheduling issue there.’

Meanwhile YouTube and social media sensation GK Barry is reportedly ‘in advance talks’ to appear on the next series of Strictly.

Bosses are hoping that bringing in the TikTok star, real name Grace Keeling, 24, will help draw in a younger audience when it returns to screens in September.

With just a few months until the BBC show is back, Grace has been involved with many meetings about a potential fit in the competition.

A source told The Sun: ‘Grace has had two meetings with Strictly about appearing on the show.

‘She has a huge following on social media and bosses think she would be perfect for the younger audience they try and draw in.

Grace would be joining the likes of blind TV presenter Chris McCausland and Bank of Dave star David Fishwick – who are also reported to star on the show.

The influencer rose to fame in lockdown during the pandemic when she started up her TikTok and YouTube channel.

Fast forward four years, Grace has more than 4.5million followers across her social media accounts.

She also hosts a popular podcast Saving Grace – which has seen a range of star-studded guests.

It’s not the first time Grace has set her eyes on a reality TV show, as she previously hinted about appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

Grace is a huge fan of the show and is open to the idea of heading Down Under to camp out in the jungle.
