Former Byron Baes cast member Alex Reid has splashed out $1.9million on a gorgeous terrace house in Sydney’s Surry Hills.
Reid, who was once an assistant to radio shock jock Kyle Sandilands, snapped up the two-bedroom, two-bathroom pad last week in a pre-auction sale.
Originally listed with a price guide of $1.75million, the unique split-level property boasts two separate residences.
Reid plans to renovate the sprawling home and turn the lower ground floor residence into an Airbnb while claiming the upper-storey flat for himself, reported The Wentworth Courier on Wednesday.
The top level boasts a private home office and a large bedroom with an adjoining balcony.
A staircase leads to the spacious living areas which are designed with a thoughtful open plan.
There’s also a private kitchen and a backyard entertainment deck.
The self-contained apartment on the lower ground floor meanwhile boasts a large courtyard and private living room with a separate kitchen.

He has previously served as an assistant to both Sandilands and Sophie Monk.
Reid rose to fame in 2022 as one of the cast members of the Netflix series Byron Baes.

A Gold Coast native, Reid moved to Byron during the Covid-19 pandemic.
He later told the Reality Life with Kate Casey podcast: ‘I run a business and I’ve got other distractions… For me I didn’t go on this show to become an influencer.’
At one stage, Byron Baes was the fourth most-watched show on Netflix in Australia.
