The Twilight Saga author Stephenie Meyer sees no end to the magical romance between her protagonist Bella Swan and century-old vampire Edward Cullen, and she has two more books in the works.
‘For me, Bella and Edward are frozen where Breaking Dawn ended,’ the 51-year-old YA novelist said on Good Morning America Wednesday.
‘I have other stories outlined that I don’t know if we’ll ever get to. I’ll have somebody, you know, disseminate [my outlines] after my death if I never get around to it. But for me, the stories go on.’
It’s been 20 years since Stephenie made her literary debut with Twilight, which spawned several more books and a $3.3B-grossing five-film franchise that launched the careers of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner.
‘I don’t even know how to process that [milestone],’ Meyer said of the legacy.
‘I wasn’t expecting fans when I started this. To be back here and still have people care, I mean, it’s really, really flattering. But I never expect that to last. It’s bizarre to me.’
