Abbie Chatfield pleads with trolls to unfollow her after death threats over Charlie Kirk comments

Abbie Chatfield has hit back at relentless online trolls, urging them to simply unfollow her if they truly want to see her gone.

The outspoken reality star-turned-podcaster, 30, took to Instagram on Wednesday night to deliver a scathing message to her critics, telling them they were wasting their time making hate pages and petitions.

‘I actually have a way that you guys can cancel me,’ Abbie declared in the video.

‘If everyone that hates me this much or spends their spare time making accounts of me, if you just blocked me or unfollowed me, my follower count would go down. If that’s what you want to do, just leave me alone. Stop making your lives about me.’

The former Bachelor contestant went on to mock her detractors for fuelling the algorithm by constantly engaging with her content.

‘It’s so funny. You are spending your free time doing this. Just unfollow me if you want me to be de-platformed. If you hate me for what I said, unfollow me, block me, don’t engage with content about me,’ she said.

Her post was captioned: ‘Stop feeding the algorithm and showing it that you WANT TO SEE MY CONTENT?? No need for a petition… just UNFOLLOW ME???? Also love that they are the ones that claim to HATE cancel culture lmaaooooo.’

The fiery video follows Abbie’s comments on controversial US conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, which left her ‘living in fear’ after receiving a flood of death threats.

Kirk, 31, was shot dead in Utah last week in what has been described as a political assassination.

In the aftermath, Abbie sparked outrage by publicly declaring she ‘hated’ him before warning his death would only inflame political tensions.

‘No one should die for what they have to say. Even though I hate Charlie Kirk, this is not good for anyone,’ she said.

‘He was racist, homophobic, transphobic, misogynistic, Islamophobic,’ she claimed.

‘He actually fought to take away rights of minorities rather than fighting for anything. I thought he is an awful person. He is also anti-choice and I hate people who are anti-choice because it results in women dying.’

She then posted a video of her crying hysterically and yelling: ‘You can’t say that, you can’t say that… f**king die bitch, we hate you,’ in reference to the death threats she received.

Abbie revealed she is living in fear and has suffered a ‘severe mental health episode’ after being deluged with death threats following the post she made about Kirk’s death.

Kirk, a father of two and controversial conservative commentator, was shot in the neck last week during a rally at Utah Valley University. He died a short time later.

Abbie took to social media in the hours after his death to say she ‘hated’ Kirk – before making a grim political prediction.

‘Even though I hate Charlie Kirk this is bad for everyone to be honest,’ she wrote on Instagram.

‘The right (and possibly the left) will become more violent in replacement of actual democracy. He will be martyred. They won’t see that this is BECAUSE of right-wing views on gun control that this could even happen.’

‘It will cause tensions to rise and drive people further apart than we already are. If this is the beginning, then what’s to come?’

On Friday morning she released a statement, revealing that she had been inundated with death threats, some including her home address.

She said others had been encouraging her to speak out but she was ‘not strong enough right now to make any comment’.

‘I am in fear. I haven’t even made a statement to camera about Charlie Kirk beyond sharing others (sic) pretty mild views that are acknowledging the cognitive dissonance on the right,’ she wrote.

‘Despite my silence, this event has cause (sic) me immense distress and has jeopardised my safety.’

‘I’ve received numerous death threats with my address in them.’
