Beverley Callard has reportledy signed up for ITV’s I’m A Celeb All Stars spin-off, five years after her appearance on the main series which had been relocated to Wales during the COVID pandemic.
The former Coronation Street actress, 68, who played Liz McDonald in the soap from 1985 until 2020, is said to have already jetted off to South Africa to begin filming alongside former co-stars Craig Charles and Helen Flanagan.
Other famous names in camp are rumoured to include Gemma Collins, Harry Redknapp, Scarlett Moffatt and Sir Mo Farrah.
Beverley’s original I’m A Celeb stint saw her paid a reported £125K and now her second comes a year after she was understood to be facing bankruptcy for a second time over a £100K tax bill.
A source said: ‘Beverley’s first taste of I’m A Celebrity was in a cold, wet castle in Wales and it was a tough experience – although she loved making so many new friends’.
‘When the chance came up to fly to South Africa and have a second spin of the wheel she jumped at the chance.

They told The Sun: ‘She is out there now filming and will be trying her best to make it through to the final.’
Daily Mail have contacted Beverley’s representatives and ITV for comment.
Last year the soap star’s acting firm failed to settle the £100,000 tax bill, which meant she could become bankrupt for a second time.
Beverley and her husband Jon McEwan, who are directors of the company, set the entity up after she left the ITV soap as a way to manage her money.
But, according to The Sun it went into voluntary liquidation last year owing HMRC £101,554 in outstanding tax and VAT.
What’s more, Beverley and her husband are also yet repay £114,000 in director’s loans they took out from the company, which they have called JMBJ Limited.
Liquidators have told the couple that the cost of dissolving the company will amount to £54,369.
Documents revealed: ‘We carried out an initial review of the company’s affairs, including seeking information and explanations from the directors by means of questionnaires. We made enquiries of the company’s accountants, examining company bank statements and other records.

‘This initial assessment revealed matters that the liquidators considered merited further investigation in relation to the director’s loans.
‘As a result, the liquidators have undertaken further reviews. They are making enquiries with the directors in relation to the outstanding balance owed.’

It is not the first time Beverley has faced financial struggles and in 2012 became bankrupt after she was hit with tax bill of £60,000.
The actress’ money woes reached crisis point when she quit her role in the soap after suffering from ill health and depression. She was caring for her mother, who was in the late stages of Alzheimer’s.
She told the Sunday Mirror at the time: ‘Since the bankruptcy became public people think I’m a showbiz diva who frittered her cash away on expensive dinners and fancy clothes. That couldn’t be further from the truth.
‘Corrie schedules are full-on. It’s all or nothing and I had to face a choice between The Street or Mum. I love everything about Corrie but there could only be one answer.’

The actress had battles with money problems in the past. Beverley suffered a breakdown around February 2009, having worked double time at Corrie and at the pub which she owned with her fourth husband Joe McEwan.
Hit hard by the credit crunch and smoking ban, losses at the pub meant that the couple’s debts grew out of control.
For a while the pair were reduced to borrowing cash off friends in order to afford the one meal per day they ate to survive.
At her lowest point, Beverly was unable to cover the cost of electric shock therapy for depression while in a psychiatric ward at The Priory in Altrincham.
Doctors had come to the conclusion that the treatment was the only option to snap Beverley out of the near-comatose state which she had reached.
The actress remembers little of that time, and relies on accounts from her husband and her children.
She said the experience made herself and Jon closer as a couple.
