Pregnant Michelle Ackerley has revealed she was rushed to hospital after coming off air from Morning Live as she takes leave from the show.
The BBC presenter, 41, who is expecting her first child with her husband Benjamin Ryan, returned to the fan-favourite series earlier this month following its summer break.
However, Michelle has been absent from screens in recent days, last being seen in studio on Monday, September 8 with Rav Wilding.
She has now revealed she was rushed to hospital.
Sharing a health update with her fans on Instagram, the expectant mother showed off her growing bare bump after being discharged.
Alongside the snap, she penned: ‘Well it’s been quite the rollercoaster of a few days this end. Had such a lovely day back at work with the awesome @bbcmorninglive team last Monday.

‘Then unfortunately ended up in hospital with labyrinthitis for the next 4 days. I don’t know if anybody has had it before but it ain’t ideal.
‘I have to stay the midwives at St Mary’s Hospital in Manchester were amazing and kept me calm with all the anxieties of being ill whilst pregnant. Resting up and nesting up at home now.’
Michelle also revealed she is now taking her maternity leave from Morning Live after the hospital dash.
She added: ‘I’ll be back on @bbcmorninglive in the new year though with a new baby addition to add to the family.’
Flooding her with support, one viewer said: ‘Aww so sorry to hear this such a shame to have not seen you on your last show before maternity leave. Rest up and nest and keep being the endo warrior you are.’
A second wrote: ‘Sending lots of love to you! So pleased to see you at home after your hospital stay. Big hugs xx’
‘My mum had labrynthytis and it’s nasty, so feel so sorry for you. Hope you’re feeling much better xx,’ said a third.
Labyrinthitis is a type of inner ear infection that can affect your balance, while common symptoms include feeling sick, hearing loss and dizziness.

Speaking to HELLO!, Michelle revealed: ‘I’m expecting a little girl in October and it feels very special.
‘When I found out I was pregnant, I told my husband, and he said this is a baby miracle.
‘I remember coming home after Morning Live, and thinking: “It doesn’t feel normal,” so I did a pregnancy test just in case.’

Sharing a series of loved-up snaps with Benjamin to Instagram, alongside a picture of their baby scan, she wrote: ‘I can’t believe it’s nearly been a year since getting married and I honestly didn’t think 12months on that I’d be writing a post sharing that I’m pregnant…
‘I know this kind of news can be difficult to read for some so I understand if you would rather scroll past on this.
‘I wanted to share though as my journey with endometriosis and infertility is something I finally felt confident to start speaking about more openly last year – realising how many other women were going through similar experiences.
‘Feeling part of a community – especially when it comes to women’s health can really make a difference.’
