Two months ago, Selena Gomez told Jake Shane’s Therapuss podcast that it was ‘good to see’ her childhood colleagues like Demi Lovato ‘still doing her thing.’
‘I heard clips of she said on the podcast,’ the Lovato, 33, reacted on Tuesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live. ‘It was really, really sweet.’
Demi (born Demetria) gushed that she ‘couldn’t be happier’ for the 33-year-old bride-to-be and her fiancé Benny Blanco, who will reportedly soon tie the knot at a private residence in Montecito, CA.
‘I just wish her the best!’ Lovato exclaimed.
The two-time Grammy nominee has listened to Selena and her 37-year-old groom-to-be’s collaborative album, I Said I Love You First.
‘Really, really great job. I love the songs on it. Bluest Flame was my [favorite] song,’ Demi said of the record.

Lovato and Gomez – who both dated Jonas brothers – famously kickstarted their careers in 2002 by co-starring as Angela and Gianna on the children’s show Barney & Friends.
The homeschooled millennials also co-starred in Allison Liddi-Brown’s comedy Princess Protection Program, which aired on the Disney Channel in 2009.
Benny popped the question to Selena with an eight-carat marquise diamond engagement ring on December 10 after 18 months of dating, but she refuses to convert to his Jewish faith.
Gomez originally met Blanco during a 2008 business meeting when she was only 16, and he went on to work on her second studio album Revival in 2015 as well as her 2023 song Single Soon.
Meanwhile, Demi wed her former backup vocalist Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes at the Bellosguardo Estate in Santa Barbara, CA on May 25 in front of 135 guests.
Lovato originally met the Canadian 34-year-old in January 2022 while recording her eighth studio album Holy Fvck and they even got matching tattoos of their track – 4 Ever 4 Me – which she wrote especially about him.
