She is blazing the promo trail for her new movie Swiped.
And Lily James, who plays Bumble CEO and founder Whitney Wolfe Herd in the film, has ensured she has put on a chic display at every turn – as illustrated by her chic appearance during an NYC outing on Monday.
The Downton Abbey star, 36, looked incredible in a Victoriana blouse by Nina Ricci with extremely high-waisted trousers as she emerged ahead of an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, where she appeared to discuss the movie.
The stunner confessed that while she has not ‘dabbled’ in dating apps herself, she fears online dating will end the art of organically meeting a suitor.
On the dawn of apps and meeting in person, she said: ‘Well I’m kind of scared that we’re losing this like lost art of like seeing someone in a bar and just like catching their eye and going over. I hope that that doesn’t disappear’.

In her interview with the magazine, Lily spoke about her new movie – Swiped, a biopic about Bumble CEO and founder Whitney Wolfe Herd (pictured in May last year) and the sexual harassment she allegedly endured at her former company Tinder
She emerged ahead of an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, where she appeared to discuss the movie.
Lily looked stunning as she stepped out in her chic high-waisted blouse in a cream hue with a sheer material layered over a vest.
She ensured her tiny waist was on display in the corset-style trousers while upping the edgy style with her 90s-inspired sunglasses.
Just hours later, Lily opted for a racier style as she wowed in a black, off-the-shoulder mini dress with low denier tights, to show off her lithe legs.
Ahead of playing Whitney, Lily was asked by Seth if she had tried out dating apps.
She bashfully confessed: ‘I didn’t dabble and I haven’t and I feel a bit bad playing the creator of these apps having never really done it but I did steal my friend’s phone in preparation for this film to do some research.’
Seth said of the start of dating apps: ‘I remember the other thing when it first started, a little embarrassed to say, when you say how you met someone they were like “I met on an app” and it’s so funny that like “we were drunk at the same time” [was ok]’.
Lily voiced her concerns for the future, saying: ‘Well I’m kind of scared that we’re losing this like lost art of like seeing someone in a bar and just like catching their eye and going over. I hope that that doesn’t disappear’.

Lily recently spoke about Swiped, which follows the sexual harassment Whitney allegedly endured at her former company Tinder.
Speaking about the role, Lily said: ‘It was pre-[SAG] strike that I first read the script and I remember being so taken aback by Whitney Wolfe’s story…
‘I was really unfamiliar. Dating apps are so a part of our culture, whether you like it or not—they determine and dictate a lot of how we meet people…
‘So learning about the story of this woman who was a part of that inception, not only at Bumble but also Tinder, and this phenomenal journey of growth she goes through to become such a formidable, innovative entrepreneur, facing real adversity and challenges, which she overcame, I found deeply inspiring.’
