AFLW champ Nicola Stevens has welcomed her first child with fiancé Elise Rose, who has given birth to a boy.
The 32-year-old footy veteran took to her social media on Saturday to announce the happy news and included a beautiful portrait of the newborn in the post.
Nicola, who is currently playing as a defender for St. Kilda, also revealed her son’s name.
‘Welcome to the world, Otis Benjamin,’ Nicola said in the Instagram post she shared with her partner.
‘Your Mummies love you so much little darling,’ the pair added.
In the photo, Otis can be seen catching a snooze while dressed in a beanie and striped jumpsuit.

They included a wooden tag with the baby’s name on it and birth details, which revealed that Otis Benjamin was born September 10, weighing 9 lbs and 2oz (4.1 kg) and measuring 51 cm.
Followers were quick to post messages of congratulations to the pair, who announced their engagement back in January.
‘Crying!!!!! Congratulations, beautiful ladies! I couldn’t be happier for you both,’ shared one friend, and added: ‘9 pounds Elise Rose you are incredible.’
Nicola replied: ‘She is INCREDIBLE.’
Fellow AFLW footy player Steph Chiocci also messaged: ‘Otis ya big cutie.’
Another St. Kilda player, Paige Trudgeon, messaged the pair, ‘He is perfect, congrats, you two beautiful Mummas. Otis has an army of aunties behind him.’
It comes after Nicola recently opened up about losing her mother Ann to early-onset dementia in 2023 at just 52.
Nicola, who made her first-class footy debut with Collingwood in 2017, told Code Sports last month that she played ‘for her mum’ as she battled the disease over 13 years.

‘I guess for so long I had been able to get out onto the field and express myself, and almost separate what has been going on for me off the field,’ she said.
She continued: ‘I struggled a little bit in the 18 months after my mum passed to find that new purpose.’
Nicola was included in the inaugural AFLW draft pick.
She joined St. Kilda in 2022 after playing for Carlton since 2018.
