Rita Ora has revelaed she thinks ‘communication is key’ when it comes to making her marriage to Taika Waiti work.
The pop star, 33, tied the knot with Hollywood director Taiki, 48, in 2022 in an ‘intimate ceremony’ in London after four years of dating.
But despite their ‘crazy’ schedules, she explained that they have a ‘genuine connection’ that keeps them together.
She told The Sun: ‘What works is a genuine connection and a real sense of friendship. Communication is key.
‘Our schedules are crazy busy so it’s just important to talk and that’s what has been working for us.’

The Thor director has found time to appear in Rita’s new music video Ask & You Shall Receive, in which she strips down in a laundrette, but she insisted that his brief cameo as an employee was not planned.
She explained: ‘He was just hanging out with me and I said, ‘Come on, let’s put you to work, you might as well do a cameo’. It was really cute, not planned.’
Rita put on a very leggy display in leather hot pants and crop top which she teamed with towering platforms and outlandish eye make-up for the video.
The stunner then left little to the imagination as she slipped into nude bra and thong and even hung out of a washing machine.
Ask & You Shall Receive is Rita’s latest release following the success of her top ten 2023 album You & I.
Speaking about the latest release Rita said: ‘The song is full of upbeat, summery vibes and is about seizing the moment romantically, and diving straight in with that special someone’.
‘It was co-written by the amazing Raye, which feels like such a full circle moment, as I have so many amazing memories from when we were on the road together for the Phoenix tour’.

Rita said she wanted to keep her wedding to Taika under wraps because she’s ‘always given everything she’s part of to the public’
The pair did not announce their marriage to the public until they celebrated their first anniversary.
Rita told ES Magazine that her friends were concerned they missed her big day, after she and Taika opted to have just eight guests in attendance for their intimate ceremony.
She said: ‘I’ve been in the public eye for a while now and I’ve always given everything I’m part of to the public. It felt nice to have something that was a secret for a bit.
‘A lot of my friends were like ”Oh my God, we’ve missed it’.” I just told them that we will figure something out. It felt chill – because my life is not chill.’
