Ariana Grande’s boyfriend Ethan Slater made rare comments about the pop star amid rumors that their relationship is on the rocks.
Earlier this week, the Broadway star, 33, addressed a recent controversy involving the Supernatural singer — which she also made a point to comment on over the weekend.
This comes after fans pointed out his noticeable absence from Grande’s entourage during her big night at the MTV VMAs, where she was nominated for seven awards and took home a total of three.
He called Grande’s fans ‘ferocious’ as he shared his thoughts about the massive demand for tickets to see her sold-out Eternal Sunshine tour next year.
Slater also said he had been ‘sort of following along’ while talking about her 2026 tour across the U.S. and the U.K.

‘Ari’s fans are unbelievable and incredible and ferocious in their support of her, and it’s a beautiful thing,’ he said at the event, which he attended alone without the singer by his side, per People.
‘And I really hope that there are other opportunities to see her perform,’ he added.
‘It’s really intense, and I’ve been sort of following along, but it’s kind of an amazing thing that so many people want to see her shows, you know? Like what a beautiful thing.’
In recent weeks, fan rumors have been rampant that the pair are headed for a split to be announced after the premiere of Wicked: For Good.
Grande, 32, and Slater met on the set of the movie adaptation of Wicked approximately two years ago.
The pair have reportedly been dating for about two years, and the allegedly questionable circumstances in which their relationship began has left their romance tinged with controversy.
They made their relationship public in July 2023, shortly after Grande had separated from her ex-husband Dalton Gomez and Slater did the same with his then-wife Lilly Jay.
Last month, Grande announced her Eternal Sunshine Tour, sharing with her fans that she would be traveling to cities across the U.S. before crossing the pond over to the U.K. in support of her same-name, seventh studio album.

The tour marks her first tour in six years since her Sweetener World Tour in 2019.

On Saturday morning, Grande took to her Instagram Story to share a heartfelt message to her fans, in which she said she is ‘incredibly bothered’ by the situation and is ‘fighting for a solution.’
Grande opted out of dynamic pricing for her shows, meaning that the price of her tickets were set in advance to be at the lowest $79 for nosebleed seats up to $799, excluding VIP packages.

In spite of her consumer-friendly choice, Ticketmaster options are now sold out and fans are being forced to explore resale options, which are being posted by third party retailer with a staggering upcharge.
