Miley Cyrus Excited About Dad Billy Ray’s New Love, Elizabeth Hurley

Miley Cyrus has revealed that she’s thrilled her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, has found love again with Elizabeth Hurley. 

The blossoming romance between the country music star, 64, and Elizabeth, 60, appeared to be going strong as they stepped out together at Wednesday’s National Television Awards, five months after going public with their relationship. 

Billy Ray split from Miley’s mum, Tish Cyrus, 58, in 2022 after nearly 30 years of marriage. Tish has since moved on with Prison Break actor Dominic Purcell, 55, and the pair tied the knot in August 2023.

Now, Miley has opened up about her parents’ new relationships, saying she’s just happy to see them both in love again. 

According to The Mirror: ‘When you are younger, I think you just view your parents as mom and dad rather than individuals with feelings, with faults, with their own story. 

She added: ‘The most important thing for both my parents is that they are happy, and it’s clear to see they both are.’ 

It comes just days after Elizabeth beamed as she walked the National Television Awards red carpet with new boyfriend Billy Ray on Wednesday.

Liz cut a striking figure as she donned a dazzling silver sheer gown from Zhiago with a plunging neckline for the red carpet.

The frock also featured a daring thigh-high split as it sparkled against the lights.

Billy looked dapper as he wore an all black attire for the night, including a suede jacket and black trousers with what appeared to be a buttoned design going up the sides.

Liz was also joined by her son Damian, and looked delighted to have the most important men in her life by her side. 

The actress revealed the Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker, who shocked fans with their unlikely romance earlier this year, had been teaching her to play guitar.

The stunner said that Billy Ray had been trying to pass on his musical skills to her, but so far she was ‘appalling’. 

She told Hello! magazine: ‘I’ve been in England all summer for the first time ever and have loved every moment. Billy is teaching me to play the guitar; right now I’m appalling, but I’m hoping to improve!’

Elizabeth turned 60 in June, and she’s revealed she spent the day at home surrounded by friends and family, and her son Damian baked her a cake.

She told the publication: ‘This year has been such a whirlwind that it was wonderful to sit back and be spoiled for a few days.

‘I hibernated at home with some of my best friends and family,’ she added.. 

‘My son baked a delicious cake and we all sat around giggling and being silly, which is my favourite occupation.’ 

The Bedazzled star went on to reveal she now makes a more conscious effort to spend more time at home after years of work and now picks her projects carefully to ensure she’s not away for too long.

She said: ‘I’ve always enjoyed work more than play and have much more fun at work than doing anything social. I’m more relaxed on a film set than anywhere else.

‘However, without doubt this has meant that I’ve struggled with a work life balance since I started in the industry so I make a conscious effort now to really enjoy spending more time at home with my family and friends and not just skip from job to job.’ 

Elizabeth previously opened up about her blossoming relationship with Billy, admitting the romance ‘feels nice’ because he is so ‘supportive’.

She told The Mirror: ‘Billy and I have had most of the summer off. ‘We’ve seen both his daughters [Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus] play in London, which was great. He’s very supportive, and that feels nice.

‘We’ve adopted two tortoises, and I have become something of a bird watcher. We’ve just seen some goshawks. They’re unbelievable.

‘Very, very rare. There are only 1,000 nesting pairs in the UK.’

She then joked: ‘I have a really interesting life. Wild. Parties every night.’
