One of Britain’s richest streets is up in arms over a planned Burberry fashion show in William and Kate’s back garden.
Affluent neighbours fear chaos at Perks Field – part of the Prince and Princess of Wales’s private garden at Kensington Palace – where Burberry aims to put on a show in London Fashion Week this month.
I hear Burberry has applied to the local council to put up a marquee opposite Kensington Palace Gardens, dubbed Billionaires’ Row.
Among those filing objections to Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea are a local residents’ association and the High Commissioner of India, who are alarmed that the star-studded event will bring increased traffic, noise pollution and litter.
Burberry says it has consulted the Royal Household, Crown Estate and local residents.
Neighbours are angry at the ‘growing commercialisation’ of Perks Field, which recently hosted a multi-million-pound racehorse auction and staged Burberry shows in 2014, 2015 and 2016. The High Commissioner of India wants noise kept to an ‘acceptable level’ as the property ‘frequently hosts diplomatic engagements’.
One complainant added that such fashion events are ‘intrusive’ and the posh enclave is already dealing with billionaire Foxtons estate agency founder Jon Hunt’s controversial renovations.
Mr Hunt, 72, has been at war with his neighbours for 17 years over his four-storey basement, where he planned to have a carousel for his classic cars.

Squire Robbie?
Will Robbie Williams become the latest A-list star to decamp to the Cotswolds? I only ask because I hear the singer, has been hunting for a palatial property in the celebrity hotspot.
My spies tell me Robbie, who owns a magnificent home in Holland Park, west London, was interested in US chat show host Ellen DeGeneres’s £15million Cotswolds home but now has his eye on a ten-bedroom cottage which boasts a spa and even an ‘Arctic cabin’.

He may have asked for Bisto gravy on his Michelin-starred 50th birthday dinner, but Sir David Beckham also has a taste for the finer things in life. Sources tell me the former England captain likes to splash the cash on fancy deli items, including £65 on a single punnet of premium Japanese grapes at his local upmarket grocer, Notting Hill Fish + Meat. Spend it like Beckham…
Wedding bells are ringing for Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Holly, who is poised to marry Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, this Christmas. If you think Gordon’s kitchen standards are high, wait until you see this couple’s wedding list.
At the top was a £1,600 Hermes blanket – which vanished faster than a Hell’s Kitchen contestant after burning beef Wellington – a £900 baking mixer and even an £18 Jenga set.

Harry’s Rome sweet home…
They insist they’re just ‘friends with benefits’, but singer Harry Styles and actress Zoe Kravitz appear to be going in only one direction: coupledom. After a lunch last week in New York with Zoe’s rock-star father Lenny Kravitz, the glamorous pair jetted off to Rome, where they were spotted strolling arm in arm, on Friday.
It’s no wonder the couple were exploring the City of Love, as Harry is said to own a palatial villa nearby. My spies tell me he hosted a raucous party there last month for his nearest and dearest – including Zoe and his best friend James Corden.
But I’m told that when Harry throws a house party he has a set of strict rules: no photos and no cocaine.
Rock ’n’ roll!

Dua loves a Pelican crossing
After Olivia Wilde and Caspar Jopling were spotted together at The Pelican in Notting Hill last week, I hear the American actress, 41, and aristocratic art dealer, 33, are not the only ones propping up the bar. Pop star Dua Lipa, 30, recently bought a round of ten negronis at the pub, while Johnny Depp, 62, had a slap-up dinner there which cost an eye-watering £1,200 – before he tipped the staff £500. Captain Jack Sparrow is clearly not feeling the pinch!
