The Desperado actor also discussed his history of legal troubles and incarceration, which could have potentially ended his film career before it began.

Trejo went on to open up about his later success as a performer, and recalled a specific moment where, while working on the set of Heat, he felt as if he had finally made it in Hollywood.

The first standalone Machete film made its debut in 2010, and it received generally positive reviews from critics.
The feature was succeeded by 2013’s Machete Kills, which did not fare as well with critics.
A third film in the series has been planned by Rodriguez for several years, although it has not been officially greenlit as of yet.
The potential third installment in the Machete series would see the character traveling to outer space, according to Screen Rant.
