Cat Deeley Sparks Speculation with Wedding Ring at NTAs After Split from Patrick Kielty

Cat Deeley has been pictured on Wednesday with a ring on her wedding finger – just weeks after announcing her split from Patrick Kielty.

Cat, 48, and Patrick, 54, who have two boys together, announced the end of their marriage in July in a joint statement – insisting ‘no other party’ was involved.

At the National Television Awards, Cat joined her co-stars of This Morning the wider team on the red carpet.

A diamond wedding ring was in clear view on her left hand as she boasted a big smile while posing for pictures at the O2 Arena in London.

Cat had previously been snapped with her wedding ring off as opted to swap the dazzling rock to her right hand in a pointed gesture that seemingly symbolised her new life chapter.

Last month Cat’s estranged husband Patrick was spotted on a trip to the shops near the former couple’s home in London buying a bottle of red wine.

It was the first time he had been pictured since their split was confirmed.

He then broke his silence as he returned to his BBC Radio 5 Live show.

In a jovial mood upon his return to the airwaves Patrick joked about being overlooked for the role of Match of the Day host, following Mark Chapman, Gabby Logan and Kelly Cates replacing Gary Lineker.

He laughed: ‘It’s lovely to be back. We are coming to you from sunny Belfast and we’ve got Michael Andrew looking after things here. We’ve got Sammy and Craig looking after things in London.

‘It takes a village folks to make this show sound so average, but it is not just me who is back, Oh no, what is this? It is a little welcome back letter from the head of the BBC’.

Patrick’s family are still seething with Cat over her failure to attend his beloved mother’s funeral – and say they knew at that moment their marriage was over for good.

Her ‘no show’ back in March has left deep emotional scars within the Kielty family who say it confirmed for them that there was little chance of a reconciliation between the two.

Announcing their separation, Cat and Patrick said: ‘We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved.

‘We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected. There will be no further comment.’

The stars of British TV are out in force at London’s O2 Arena for the National TV Awards.

The red carpet arrivals are being hosted by Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks for the second year in a row.

At the awards, the best of TV will be honoured by the British public, who have been voting for their favourite shows and talent.

This is a milestone year for the NTAs, which are celebrating their 30th anniversary.

The awards were established back in 1995 to give the public a voice when it came to recognising TV talent – as previously, awards had always been dished out by industry professionals.

Described as a ‘celebration of the nation’s most loved stars and shows’, people have had the opportunity to vote via post, telephone, and online.

Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly are widely expected to win the TV Presenter award for the 24th year in a row.

But last year, on their 23rd consecutive win, the Geordie due admitted that they ‘know one year we’re not going to win it.’

Competition this year is fierce and they are up against Claudia Winkleman, Gary Lineker, Alison Hammond and Stacey Solomon.

This is not the only award of note for Ant and Dec, as their ITV series I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is also up for the best Reality TV award.

Once again, the category is full of fierce competition and the long-running jungle show is up against Love Island, Race Across the World and the increasingly popular The Traitors.

The past year has been a monumental one for TV dramas and a standout hit was Netflix’s Adolescence.

IndieWire praised Owen Cooper’s performance as child killer Jamie Miller as ‘enraging, emotional, horrifying, and heartbreaking in equal measure’.

It will face off against other hit shows including Code of Silence, Ludwig, MobLand and Rivals in the Best Drama category.

And with the UK so well-known for its many soap operas, the Best Serial Drama is also set to be one of the fiercest competitions of the night.

Shows including Coronation Street and Emmerdale have been enjoying record numbers of viewers after being placed on ITVX in October.

This allowed fans to tune into their favourites at a time that best suited them rather than having to wait to watch them live on TV and could give them the edge over other nominees Casualty, EastEnders and Hollyoaks.

Also being recognised, and for the last time, is Gavin & Stacey, which aired its long-awaited final episode on Christmas 2024.

It is up against Brassic, Michael McIntyre’s 25th Year Stand-Up Special and Mrs Brown’s Boys in the comedy category.

The awards, which are being broadcast live on ITV2, will be dished out between entertainment performances until half 10.
