Patsy Kensit Laughs Off Love Life in New Photo Editing Feature to Erase Exes

Tongue appeared to be firmly in cheek on Wednesday as unlucky in love Patsy Kensit launched a new app created to help newly single Brits move on from painful breakups.

The actress, whose four marriages all ended in divorce, takes centre stage in a new promotional campaign for the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE phone and its built-in, AI-powered Generative Edit tool.

The feature will give users the opportunity to seamlessly remove unwanted people, notably ex-partners, or objects from their digital photos.

The campaign comes after research revealed that nearly fifty percent of Brits delete all online traces of their ex following a split, with an estimated 3.6 billion photos expected to disappear from digital galleries and social media feeds in 2025 alone.

And Kensit may well be among them, with the actress fronting the campaign little more than a year after ending her engagement to property tycoon Patric Cassidy.

The British star reportedly ended their relationship last May following a number of angry exchanges, among them a public argument at a charity event, during which Patric ‘snatched [Kensit’s] engagement ring from her finger’.

A source told The Sun at the time: ‘It’s been a tumultuous relationship between Patsy and Patric.

‘While there was a lot of passion in their whirlwind romance, and they had a lot in common, ultimately it became too much hard work.

‘Patsy has decided to cut ties completely and move on with her life.’

The actress later claimed she’d given up on finding a man after being married four times and was endeavouring to ‘fill the hole in her soul’ alone.

She told HELLO!: ‘I wouldn’t want a relationship, I am not interested. I do believe in love.

‘But for me it’s not something I need, I have been on my own a long time and I like my own company.

‘Now, it’s just adjusting my life to fill the hole that’s in my soul.’

Kensit is well-known for her somewhat entangled love life, after saying: ‘I Do’ four times before.

Her first marriage to Dan Donovan, lead singer with 1980s pop group Big Audio Dynamite, came in 1988, but lasted just three years before she filed for divorce.

A second marriage to Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr followed in 1992. The couple went on to welcome their son James in 1993, but divorced three years later.

Arguably her most famous marriage to Oasis singer Liam Gallagher came in 1997, with the couple famously pictured together in bed for a Brit Pop inspired Vanity Fair cover shoot.

But Cool Britannia couldn’t stop the couple divorcing in 2000, less than a year after the birth of their son, Lennon – named after Beatles legend John Lennon.

Kensit subsequently married DJ Jeremy Healy in 2009, but the pair separated just 10 months after the wedding ceremony.

‘You don’t have to marry all of your boyfriends,’ she told The Mirror in 2024. ‘My goals always been that my sons had a really good relationship with their fathers.

‘For me. I haven’t spoken or had contact with those men. I am very supportive of their relationships with their fathers, but I don’t have one. I like it that way.’
