Anne Winters revealed that she had entered a treatment facility for malnutrition by sharing several posts on her Instagram account.
The 29-year-old performer first revealed her plans to begin a plan of treatment for her condition by sharing a video with her followers this past Thursday.
The actress – who attempted to land a role in Cher’s biopic – also wrote a short message in her post’s caption to express that she felt ‘very blessed’ to have found a center that would address her concerns.
Winters began her video by stating that she was grateful for the concern of her fans and that she had never intended to drop to a dangerous weight level.
‘I know you a lot of you guys have been really worried about me on Instagram, and I also have been keeping up with my doctor and things like that, ’cause I wasn’t trying to get like this. I wasn’t trying to get this skinny, I don’t want to be this skinny either.’

The Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress added that she had a difficult time locating a treatment center that would address her issues.
‘A lot of places for this particular thing, for your body, only take 26 and under year olds. So, I’m flying to one place in country after searching with help, thank god, to find a place to go,’ she said.
Winters remained optimistic, however, and stated that she was committed to embracing a healthier lifestyle through treatment.
‘Good news is I’m going to get back on track so my body’s no longer holding me back,’ she said.
The cast member of The Orville went on to share a message on her account on Saturday to let her fans know that she had checked into her center and that she was excited to begin her course of treatment.
Winters then opened up about how she potentially came close to death and how her physical health affected her mental health.
‘I learned when malnutrition takes over- ur mind can convince you your fine- which I felt…crazy how my body was maybe on its last leg of survival. I’m shocked. I honestly thought I knew my body better than this. But hey, I’ll admit I was wrong,’ she wrote.
The performer then added that she was ‘happy to be here’ and that she was ‘on the road to my best me yet.’
