Ozzy Osbourne caught his daughter Kelly off guard while opening up about how antidepressants affect his ‘sex drive’ on Tuesday’s episode of The Osbournes Podcast.
As the duo chatted about mental health and taking medication for anxiety and PTSD with his wife, Sharon, and son, Jack, the 74-year-old legendary rock star candidly revealed that taking antidepressants ‘kills’ his ‘sex drive instantly.’
‘If you go on an antidepressant, with most of them, your sex drive goes,’ he said, which prompted Kelly, 39, to grimace.
Kelly cut him off as she exclaimed: ‘Oh, for f**k’s sake.’

She proceeded to ask him if that side effect affected women as well, or just men.
‘I think it’s for both men and women,’ Jack, 37, answered. ‘But it’s not guaranteed, it’s just a possible effect.’
Ozzy, however, insisted ‘it’s guaranteed’ based on his personal experience.
‘Dad’s basically saying, ‘I took antidepressants and it took my sex drive away,” Kelly added.
Ozzy noted that ‘every one that’ he’s ‘ever taken has just killed it.’
The five-time Grammy winner previously shared that he began taking antidepressants as his mental health declined during his battle with Parkinson’s disease.
‘I reached a plateau that was lower than I wanted it to be,’ Ozzy told The Observer mental state last year. ‘Nothing really felt great. Nothing. So I went on these antidepressants, and they work OK.’
In 2020, Sharon said she and Ozzy were still having sex ‘a couple of times a week’ on an episode of The Talk.

‘When you’re in a relationship your relationship has highs and lows and depending on where you are with your relationship, it’s – you love each other more. Sex changes, that it’s not just about the sex. It’s about the intimacy,’ Sharon said.
She continued: ‘It’s about being with that person that you love. They love you. It just changes. It changes. Those goosebumps that you got change to something else. It’s a warmth. It’s a respect. It’s that, it is a feeling of love and comfort.’
The Brixton native, who married Ozzy in 1982, said: So those, you know, butterflies and things change to that comfort. And why should it change when – because you’re a certain age? The thing is if somebody moves you in a certain way. You love them. You make love. It’s the best thing in the world.’

Sharon argued: ‘And so it’s like saying: “Well, you’re in your 60s, do you still like food? Can you still like ice cream?”‘
In the early days of their marriage she said that ‘Ozzy was way oversexed.’
‘I mean it’s no secret,’ she reflected, after revealing he use to want to have sex ‘three times a day.’
Nowadays however ‘it’s getting less. It used to be three times a day but it’s much less now. Let’s say a couple of times a week, which is normal in a long, long relationship.’
